The process of writing songs is very personal and always surprising. I am often inspired into an idea by a small moment. And yet, what I start out trying to do is usually what I don’t achieve. I frequently find the end result of what I’ve done to be entirely different from my initial expectations.
Lyrics:
You crawl in through my window
And you lay me down
We throw our words like missiles
Aiming for the target
And in the silence that unfolds
Weighs heavy
The words we both regret
And I say every time I’ve had enough this time
But then you crawl in through my window
And you lay me down
Every time I feel that wind blow
I know that you’ve come around
I know, I know you’ve come back around
And so you choose your weapon
But I’ll use mine first
Drip from these same lips I once
Used to not hurt
And I say every time I’ve had enough this time
But then you crawl in through my window
And you lay me down
Every time I feel that wind blow
I know that you’ve come around
I know, I know you’ve come back around
Watch for the ricochet
When the bullets make their way
Cant stop this aftermath
Were trying to escape
Our loves a ricochet
Won’t let me walk away
We’re stuck in the aftermath
Repeat the same mistakes
Repeat the same mistakes
Addicted to our fate
We’re addicted to the
Fate
But then you crawl in through my window
And you lay me down
Every time I feel that wind blow
I know that you’ve come around
But then you crawl in through my window
And you lay me down
Every time I feel that wind blow
I know that you’ve come around
I know, I know
I know you’ve come back around
